About Us

History

Our department was established in 2006 and began admitting undergraduate students for the first time in the 2008-2009 academic year. As part of the Bologna process initiated within our university, we transitioned to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), an internationally recognized rating system that demonstrates learning outcomes and the associated workload based on them. In 2012, we started accepting students for the evening program. Since the 2014-2015 academic year, our department has implemented 30% English-language education in both the regular and evening programs. Our department consists of the following major fields of study: Electromagnetic Fields and Microwave Techniques, Electronics, Circuits and Systems, Electric Machines, Electric Installations, Control and Automation Systems, and Telecommunications. The teaching and research areas in our department are focused on communication systems, signal processing, electromagnetic fields and microwave techniques, control and automation systems, computers and computer networks, microelectronics, biomedical electronics, electric machines, and power systems.
