Message from the Department Chair

Dear Students,

Welcome to the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Akdeniz University (AUEE).

As the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Akdeniz University, we aim to provide a contemporary education based on modern teaching principles. Our goal is to produce qualified engineers who can generate knowledge and technology through practical application, enabling them to compete globally.

Our department aims to educate competent engineers who are equipped with contemporary engineering knowledge in all areas of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. We foster a continuous self-improvement mindset, emphasizing lifelong learning, analytical and synthetic thinking, creativity, entrepreneurship, critical questioning, and the adoption of ethical values. Our objective is to train engineers who can respond to the country's needs, possess international expertise and experience, and have a global perspective.

The teaching and research areas of our department encompass various fields, including Communication Systems, Signal Processing, Electromagnetic Fields and Microwave Techniques, Control and Automation Systems, Computer Networks and Autonomous Systems, Biomedical Engineering, Hardware-Embedded Software Engineering, Energy Systems, Electric Machines, and Power Systems.

By participating in technology communities such as the IEEE student branch and other technological societies established under the supervision of our department faculty members, you will have the opportunity to engage in creative engineering activities that will not only shape the technologies of today but also the future. You will have the chance to strengthen your experiences through theoretical and experimental courses in all areas of electrical and electronic engineering during the first three years, and further enhance your knowledge through elective courses in your graduation year.
